Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: Best commercial release Scarlet > Fire

02-05-1978 is a bit rambling, but parts of it are incredible and could be incoporpated into a greyfolded Fire...my vote for the best commercial release for S>F pre Mydland

11-01-1979 is a hidden track on DP13 and is pretty damn good
not as intense as 02-05

05-25-1977 Mosque is good, not as good as Barton Hall and I always prefer when Garcia goes through different more distorted tones and doesn't strictly solo in the steel drum mutron tone...

Same goes for 05-22-1977 release

10-14-1983 is obviously with Brent and is solid

03-31-1988 Road Trips Phenomenal S>F, one of the best of the Brent era easy...

07-07-1989 somewhat disjointed, but contains some fiery Garcia soloing in Fire

05-27-1993 only Fire in this Road Trips, but really could be the best stand alone version over 07-03-1994, 07-13-85, 10-31-1980 (Dead Set, has been edited), 11-24-78
